Around the House - Day 2 GIVEAWAY

Nurse Mommy

This giveaway comes with a fun little story. I am a big fan of Freecycle. Its a great way to get ride of things you don't need anymore and an even cooler way to get some things that are like new to you. One day I responded to an ad about an office chair. Mine was broke and on it's last leg of life. Kim, who is the owner of Letter Pefect got right back to me and said it was mine. Yippee! She also said she had a chance to check out my blog and really liked it. Once we got to meet, I then explained all my blogging it a bit more and now here we are with a giveaway! Isn't that a cool little story? You never know what could happen being a blogger.

Now I get to tell you all a bit about Letter Pefect and all the great things they can do. Well first off they do custom embroidery and can do it on just about anything. When I went to their cute little store location I was able to see some samples of their work. Everything is of very high quality from the products they use to the stitching itself. They do patches, pillows, clothing, bags, blankets, bridal boutique things and a ton more. You name it they can do it.

One of my favorite items is the Beach Bag Kit. It comes with a cute sarong and an embroidered bag. This is a perfect gift for your kiddo's teacher at the end of the year.

I'm just waiting for a special occasion to happen so I can get a personalized gift for whoever the lucky person is. I think any of the Security Blankets would make a great gift for a new baby.

Win a lovie animal blanket of your choice with embroidery.

Head on over to Letter Pefect check out all the great things they carry and leave me a comment with one of your favs other then whats mentioned here.

We have a dog, a big 70 pound black boxer to be exact. My sweet dog Kobe unfortunately sheds alot. It makes me CRAZY! Therefore I am not a huge fan of when Tay lays on the carpet to watch TV. The thought of dog hair on her makes mr cringe. When we received The Tuffet from Made By a Mom I was extremely thrilled. Finally a confortable place, free of dog hair where Tay can relax and enjoy her 20 minutes of Yo Gabba Gabba.

The Tuffet is a large round floor cushion filled with foam beads. It then has a cover which has 2 handles along with 2 pockets where you can store small toys, wipes or little odds and ends. This innovative product was created by Wendy Evegan. After she had her first son she noticed that she frequently surrounded him with pillows so he wouldn’t topple over and get hurt. Over time Wendy and many other moms have discovered how universal The Tuffet is. It can be used as a device to safely help your child learn to sit up, a spot for toddlers and older children to relax and watch TV or read a book. Lots of dads even like to use The Tuffet to play video games (mine included).

THE REVIEW

Wendy had sent over the small microsuede tuffet in moss passion. I am in love with the color. It's perfect for a little girl or a little boy. I was a bit surprised at how full the Tuffet is. I was actually expecting the filler to be a little less full. We have a chair for Taylor that had a stuffed liner with the foam beads. It was not filled all the way and about a week after we got it the liner burst. Now all I can do is spot clean it. Since we got the Tuffet Tay has jumped and landed on it countless times and its still as perfect as when we got it. It just doesn't have that "give" that her stuffed chair had, which I think will give it a nice LONG life. The handles on The Tuffet have also came in very handy since Tay likes to drag it all over the house. She also gets a kick out of the small pockets that are on the front of The Tuffet. She likes to "hide" her binky there or a book and small toys. I think it will be great for some day when we have another child and I can store wipes and diapers in the pockets. That will be very convienent. My husband likes to play video games in the evenings and since we got it The Tuffet is his new seat. He said it's alot more comfortable then the floor. Well, dear husband, you are sitting on 5 inches of foam beads!

The Tuffet comes in 4 different fabrics and many different designs. The larger size Tuffet is absolutely perfect for family use. All kids will love to jump and play on it and its a perfect little seat if mom and dad want to get down on the floor as well. I would definetly reccomend this product for kids (and parents!) of all ages. So far it has been great for us and will continue to do so once we decide to add to our family.

Around the house - DAY 1

I heart all things that have a funky fresh vintage vibe to them. Izola Shower does just that plus much more. They carry designer shower curtains that showcase the work of groundbreaking artists; Patrick McMullan, Christopher Makos, Faile, Aiko and Rika Shimada. Some different designs include the Vegas Strip, world maps and destinations, subway and geographical maps, gorgeous cotton shower curtains and even eco-friendly options.

I was sent the Venice shower curtain to review. One I got it opened up I went ahead and hung the shower curtain in the bathroom. It took the place of a boring plain 'ol white shower curtain. Our bathroom is painted a pretty blue and the darker Venice curtain looks great with it along with the grey tile. The dimensions are the perfect size of 72' X 72'. It is obviously a HUGE conversation piece when I have company over. Everyone wants to know where it came from and how much it cost. You would think that having an amazing piece of art like that would cost some serious money. At just $29.00 it is absolutely a bargain! Just the simple switch of a shower curtain has given my bathroom some seriously needed pizazz.

Izola also carries a few different accessories that are perfect for rooms around the home. I really like the bedsets, aprons and candles among the other great things they have.

Izola has offered one lucky a reader a chance to win their choice of shower curtain from the World Destinations, map or patterns section.

Initial entry: Visit Izola Shower take a look at all the curtains they have and tell me your fav.

Around the House - Day 7

Nurse Mommy

I'll admit it, I'm a bad gift giver. I don't want to give a present to someone that they'll not like sooo I usually end up giving a gift card or cash. Now don't get me wrong those arn't bad gifts they're just not very personal.

Vivabox is a very cool company that allows you (the gift giver) to give a very unique and personalized gift. They have 8 different themed boxes. Each box will contain a gift along with a gift certificate that fits that theme. I love the fact that the receiver gets to choose part of their present, It's a 2 in one gift! The themes of the Vivaboxes are pretty broad so you can easily choose one to fit the personality of the person you are buying for.

Check out all the Vivaboxes!

Spa Massage - 3 EO organic body lotions,1 EO organic shower gel, 1 package of EO organic bath salts, Gift card for a massage or facial--tip included--at one of more than 4,000 spas

Coffee Talk - Three sustainable coffees from Jazzman's Cafe, Hazelnut Flavoring Syrup from Torani, Gift card for a Coffee Talk Gift Menu item, Jazz Music CD

Wine - Gift card for a six-bottle collection of wines,Book: Wine Spectator's Essentials of Wine, 12 issues of "Wine Spectator" Magazine

Bar B Que - A selection of Urban Accents spices and rubs, Gift card for a collection of meats from Omaha Steaks or spices from Urban Accents

I must say I am ABSOLUTELY lusting over the Spa Massage Vivabox. The thought of getting a massage makes me giddy! It is absolute bliss (Dear husband, hint hint!)

I was sent the Bar B Que Vivabox to review and it's such a perfect gift for man and I definetly had a willing husband who had ZERO problems testing it out. I'm telling ya, theres not much that comes between a man and his grill. When Bobby opend up his box, he found a very nice brochure explaining how to use the Vivabox along with all the options he could choose with the giftcard. Once the box is opened you can easily smell the savory spices and rubs. Bobby was immmediately intrigued by the Kansas City Classic Rub. We've heard alot of good things about their Bar B Que sauce so I was sure the rub would be very tastey. Guess what...it was. We grilled some burgers recently and tried it out and all 3 of us throughly enjoyed it. We haven't tried the Cajun Street Spice or Chicage Steak and Chop rub yet but I know that once we get the Boneless Strip Steaks from the recently redeemed giftcard we will.

The husband had a tough time deciding on what to choose for his gift. There are 10 different options, 6 different meat selectons from Omaha Steaks and 4 sets from Urban Active that have more delicious spices in them. I personally wanted to get the Backyard Bananza package, it comes with 8 gourmet burgers, 8 boneless chicken breasts and 4 boneless chicken breasts, Talk about alot of food! Since I did give the Vivabox to my husband I let him pick. Nice wife right?Bobby had said that the process for redeeming his giftcard was very simple. He just went to the Vivabox site, clicked on the redeem a Vivabox link and the rest was self explanatory. We also recieved a confirmation email once the order was placed along with a customer service # to call in case we had any questions. The whole Vivabox experience was very pleasant. I would love to see a Vivabox some day for different beers, that would be one gift I could not pass up getting for my dear old dad.

The awesome people at Vivabox are offering 20% off all 8 themed Vivaboxes. Just enter Summerfun02 (make sure the S is capitalized) at checkout. This code is good from July 25th thru August 8th. That gives you plenty of time to shop!
