Day 5 - Sodastream review and giveaway

Sodastream has created an easy and affordable way to enjoy sparkling beverages and soda (or if you're like me "pop"). This is something the entire family can enjoy and perfect for when you have guests over.

Sodastream has a variety of home soda makers that will match with just about any decor. All this clever little devices do the same thing with no bottles, cans or electricity. One of my favorite parts about using my soda maker is there is NO CLEAN UP! Those words are magic to a moms ears.

How does Sodastream help the envirornment?

SodaStream is an "Active Green" product, meaning that consumers are actively reducing their CO2 footprint every time they make soda or sparkling water at home instead of buying it from the store. The more the system is used on a daily basis, the more CO2 footprint the user actively saves. (This differs from "Passive Green" products, which use green-friendly production processes, but their products are not inherently helping the consumers save on their daily footprint.)

I had the opportunity to review the Jet model in black. After installing the carbonator and screwing in the bottle filled with tap water and my soda flavor of choice I was ready to go. The folks at Sodastream generously sent me quite the variety of flavors to try out. Taylor and I have tried many different kinds including cream soda, diet cola, lemon line, orange. My personal favorite at the moment berry flavored mix for mywater. I can not get enough of it! There are soo many more yummy flavors I know will will be trying in the near future. Its so hard to try something new when you find a flavor you really enjoy. Anyways after hooking the bottle up all I had to do was press the button for carbonation 4 or 5 times and my soda or water is ready to go! This system also comes with an additional bottle and cap so you can have 2 different flavors in your fridge at the same time. Afterwards all I have to do is give the soda maker a little wipe down and its good to go. No muss no fuss. This machine is alot of fun to use and has already saved me lots of money. One bottle of syrup makes enough soda for 33 cans and with the way I was purchasing those 12 packs at the grocery store I know I have saved countless dollars already. Anyone would be happy to own one of these fabulous fun machines and it makes a great holiday gift the whole family can use.
