Aloha Friday

Hosted by Kailani at An Island Life, Aloha Friday is a day that those lucky folks in Hawaii take it escy and look forward to the weekend so this is just a nice easy way to get a bit more traffic to your blog. I'll ask a question, you all answer it. Then post a question on your blog and link up on Mr. Linky at An Island Life. Easy enough right?

So since I am having a horrible craving for dessert right now my question to you all is what is your all time favorite dessert?

Ohhh for the love of potty!

I've been doing the whole potty training thing with Tay for a while now and it is FINALLY starting to click. My child pees on the potty!!!!! Yesterday was one of the most exciting mommy moments for me, what is it you may ask? Taylor woke up from her 2hour nap (in dry panties) and then peed in the potty!!!! Mama was thru the roof!!!! I normally have to ask her every 15 minutes if she has to go so it was a definite proud mommy moment to have her do it all by herself. We will finally start getting some use out of her drawer full of panties! She also likes to pick out which ones she is going to wear and so far the Yo Gabba Gabba ones are the daily favorite (thanks Aunt La La)!

I know we still have a while to go on the whole potty training thing since there still the isssue of her and going #2 in the potty and then night time training of course. I'm just excited that Tay is finally picking everything up and we're getting this whole training thing underway!

Happy Green Bee review and giveaway

I don't think that there could be anything better then colorful, soft, stretchy natural clothing for kids. I found the perfect company that does just that. Happy Green Bee has funky organic clothing for babies and toddlers. Wanna know why you should buy organic clothing?

* Clothing made with organically grown cotton does not retain toxic residues; it is a pure, natural, and breathable fiber.

* Organically grown cotton is not treated with pesticides.

* Organically grown cotton does not use petroleum-based fertilizers.

* Organically grown cotton does not use genetically engineered seed.

You can read a bit more here as to why organic is better.

Taylor had the chance to review their newest item which is the reversible hoodie in watermelon. One side is solid pink and the other side is pink and blue striped. I love how its 2 different hoodies in 1! If you have ever owned or own anything that is organic cotton you will know how soft the clothing is. When Tay was little I always wanted to make sure her clothes were soft and she was confortable, the same goes for her now in the ever glorious toddler years. Since we first got the hoodie I have washed it several times and the color has not faded whatsoever, it still looks brand new.

Every time she has the hoodie on she HAS to have her hood up!

Happy Green Bee has dresses, sportswear, tops and bottoms all available in fun different colors. Alot of their items coordinate beautifully with other items they carry. In fact, I've been eyeing the watermelon board shorts to go with Tays hoodie. I can totally picture Tay rocking this outfit!

Wanna win it?

Sexy summer legs!

Yep I got em! Since I am a Bzz Agent I got the opprtunity to try out the Bic Soleil Bella razors. I NEVER buy myself any nice good razors, so these are a real treat! I'll normally hit up Dollar General and get a pack for a buck. They arn't the greatest, but get the job done. The Solein Bella razors have a pivoting head which allows me to easily get those hard to get spots like me knees and ankles. It also has 4 blades to ensures smooth legs. I don't think I've ever used a razor with 4 blades before my experience with this razor. Another great thing I'm not used to is the nice thick rubber grip on the handle. It is very easy to hold and allowed me more control of what I was doing which really means theres less chance of me getting cut. This razor is the la creme de la creme of disposable razors. I KNOW it will outlast my previous cheapo rarors AND give me sexier smoother legs...just in time for summer!

Check out www.feelthesoleil.com for more information.

If anyone would like a coupon for $3.00 off on a 3 pack (they retail around $6.00) leave a comment. First 5 to do so will get them.

My Tot Clock review and giveaway

The My Tot Clock has been a LIFESAVER around here! Just about every single timeout Taylor has had she would get up and run, potty traing she'd get up and run, nap time she threw a fit. Since we recieved the clock Taylor is now learning how long she must do a certain activity just by the color of the clocks face.
This ingenious product was developed by Pamela Gonzalaz, who is a mother of 2. If you happen to be curious as to how and why she created the Tot Clock she'll tell you 2 little words...SLEEP DEPRIVATION! Totally something me and every other mother can relate to!

My Tot Clock is an all-in-one sleep aid, alarm clock, nightlight, and timer for children ages 2 and up. Parents can easily program the clock to specific times which really helps getting your child into a daily routine.

The colored buttons on top are there so you can automatically start a routine if something needs to happen before or after the usual time. The clocks face will change colors depending on what routine you are doing. Blue is for sleeping, yellow is wake up time, light blue is for naptime, red is for time out and green is for positive reinforcement. For the sleeping and waking settings you can also program it to play stories, lullabys, white noise and even fun wake music. My Tot Clock even has fun interchangeable faceplates.

Just in these past few months has Taylor really started to hit those terrible 2's hard and in addition to that I have been working on potty training. The My Tot Clock has really came in handy with the timeouts. She gets a 2 minute timeout when she gets in trouble and now she is getting the hang of long she must sit in her "naughty" spot. I love how the clock can be used with just batteries or be plugged in to an outlet. Because of the battery feature we are able to take the clock wherever we need it to be. Taylor has also learned that when we have the clock on her green light its her potty time and plus when she goes she gets M&M's so she really enjoys that. We dont use the clock too much at night time because Tay has a special CD she's had since she was a newborn and HAS to have that on to go to bed to, but we do use it at nap/quiet time. She likes the white noise setting which has some really neat ocean sounds on it. Another great feature on the clock is the easy to carry handle. Tay loves to walk around the house with it plus it has to be carried to the bathroom, to her room, to time out and you know I'm not allowed to touch it. All in all its a great learning tool for a toddler, especially one who is in her terrible 2's....sighhhh.

Pamela has offered a My Tot Clock to one of my fabulous readers. Give me one of your major sob storys as to why you need more sleep. Entertain me! I think this will be fun! Be sure to check out the site, look at all the nifty accessories, and read the story of how My Tot Clock came to be.
