I love lazy afternoons when Taylor and I can snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie or I'm even satisfied with endless (or so it seems) episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba and Dora. The best part is snuggling up with my kiddo.
Just last week we had some yucky weather so of course it was the perfect day to watch one of "The Zula Patrol" movies we were sent to review. The Zula Patrol is a popular animated science-and-astronomy series for kids that airs Saturday mornings nationally on NBC, as part of qubo, as well as weekdays and weekends on public television stations. The Zula Patrol features a gang of lovable wacky aliens that take kids on a roller coaster fun ride across the Universe, helping them discover interesting facts about science and astronomy in the process. Just perfect for getting kids back into the swing of things for school. Its educational but still fun.
In The Zula Patrol: Animal Adventures in Space!, the gang explores insects, reptiles, mammals, plants and rocks. They learn about how they form as well as how they interact with each other. This DVD easily captured my almost 3 year old's attention. She was so excited to see a butterfly that had transformed from a caterpillar within the first few minutes of this DVD. In addition to Larvae and Leave me (which is the first episode) they are 4 others called: Egg Hunt, There Goes the Neighborhood, Choosing Sides and Camp Worm. No job is too big or too much for these lovable aliens. There are lots of adventures that will be sure to have your kids asking for more.
Taylor loves going out at night and looking for Mister Moon therefore it was no surprise that she fell in love with The Zula Patrol: Moons Mayhem. This DVD contains 6 exciting episodes that begin with a challenge, and end with a resolution. The episodes include: Moon Struck, Blue Moon, Going Through a Phase, Moons Mayhem, Three Ring Gorga and Me, Myself and Io. The Zula gang will, rescue, discover, and explore all kinds of amazing things.

I really liked how they discovered the many moons of Jupiter during Jupiterfest. Very cool. Taylor was thrilled to see her Mister Moon over and over again. These DVDs will definitely be able to grow with Taylor as she becomes older and able to comprehend alot more of whats going on in these episodes.
